Week 48
There was a proper overnight frost for today's parkrun, but fortunately the glorious early morning sunshine had ensured there were no casualties as far as courses were concerned. A smaller number of runners made it today, with 22 members running and three volunteering. At the helm was Mick T as Run Director at Alvaston, being supported by David L and Lucy T - thanks guys for your invaluable contributions today.
STILL on her holidays, in far warmer weather Fiona F was at Wanaka parkrun in South Island, New Zealand, winning her age category. Fab work Fiona - but are you ever going to return home, because we're all rather jealous!
Furthest travelled back home in the UK, Deanna S was showing Richard B the ropes at Forfar Loch parkrun as he made his debut there all the way up in Scotland finishing 9th, and making new course debuts were Alyson W, Samuel B & Tomas H at Poolsbrook parkrun with Sam B first in his age category also securing 9th spot. Chris B & Connah B also debuted at Sunny Hill parkrun in North London, both first in their age categories.
There were course PBs for Chris S at Brierley Forest parkrun, Daisy M at Markeaton parkrun, and Dan W at Monsal Trail parkrun, well done folks!
Finally at Alvaston Danielle S continued to shine, being the first lady home - top running once again! Well done to all our Super Greens who took part today! 💚💜
