Week 1 (b)
It was quite an eventful morning earlier on a fairly grim dark day, with a stiff breeze and some drizzle in the air to mark the end of the first week of 2023 parkrun. That didn't stop a fabulous crowd of Sinfin members turning up at Alvaston, with 29 making an appearance.
Brian W, David L and Raymond E all volunteered with Raymond also lending at hand at the 25 minute pacer! Thanks chaps! Connah B and Dan W were both first in their age categories, with Connah grabbing a course PB whilst he was at it, along with Chris B.
After the run the Sinfin runners gathered for a photoshoot, pictures from which will hopefully be featured in a future running magazine - watch this space!
On the road locally, Kevin P was first in his age category at Conkers parkrun, and Andy and Julie S took on the tough course at Gedling in their first visit there.
Brendan D, still on his New Year Hollibobs down under in New Zealand, ran at Trentham Memorial parkrun.
