Week 18
On the King's Coronation day, there were unfortunately a few problems experienced by parkrun HQ processing results for many parkruns, but we got there in the end on what was a lovely morning for a stroll in the park for no fewer than 43 of our members!
Alvaston had a large turnout as usual where Ray E was doing a spot of pacing (28 mins) and Richard B was helping out with the timekeeping - thanks chaps! Brendan D pushed himself to an excellent course PB, as did new member Yuk C, and Connah B was first in his age category. Lisa P was 1st lady in a ripping 18.27! 😮
All other courses were also of a fairly local nature, but furthest travelled was David B, coming down from his home in Sunderland to revisit Trentham Gardens in Stoke-on-Trent.
Down at Kingsbury Water parkrun, Alyson W, Fiona F and Sam B made their debuts with Sam finishing in a podium position in 3rd place!
At Dishley parkrun, Loughborough, Martin S, Sarah R & Simon B made their first visits to the course, and Kevin P scored a glorious PB at Beeston. Eight of our runners hit Long Eaton with Dan W, Matthew S, and Ryan F also getting themselves superb PBs, with Matthew finishing in 5th place in a blistering 17.18 minutes. Well that's just awesome running!
