Week 34
Unsurprisingly there was a whole host of parkrun tourism this bank holiday weekend with a massive 40 members attending over 18 courses!
Brendan D was at Ormeau parkrun in Belfast, Northern Ireland collecting his second 'O' parkrun in as many weeks but furthest travelled this week were Adam and Mark G who were over in Berlin for Hasenheide parkrun. Mark had ran the course before, and got himself a course PB!
Back home and also collecting an 'O' parkrun was Robert L taking on Oxford parkrun, and on the "harder to get" letters in the parkrun alphabet, Lucy & Michael T were at Yarborough Leisure Centre parkrun in Lincoln.
At one of the hardest courses in the UK, Samuel B and Tomas H were at Woolacombe Dunes parkrun in Devon. Also on the coast but up north at Cleethorpes on the Humber, Matt S finished 9th, and slightly further northwards Chris B & Connah B were at Sewerby parkrun near Bridlington, with Connah 1st in his age category.
As Alvaston was cancelled this week a lot of our runners headed around the other local parkruns, so there were larger contingents at Markeaton, Long Eaton and Beacon Hill parkruns. At Markeaton Conor O and Daisy M both got course PBs! There were also visits to Beeston, Conkers, Rosliston, and Kingsbury Water where David L was 1st in his age category.
Dan W was in Buxton at Pavillion Gardens, and Deanna S & Richard B both did a spot of volunteering (thanks guys!) helping to set up the course up at Rutland Water parkrun, with Deanna also running afterwards.
