Week 12
Some cold air after some rain had returned making it rather fresh and damp for Saturday's parkrun, and ahead of a busy racing Sunday, many had decided either not to run, or to volunteer. Across both Alvaston and Markeaton eight of club members helped out - many thanks folks!
There was a smaller running unit at Alvaston, where Connah B managed a top twenty finish, and at Markeaton Sharon C was first in her age category.
A number of our runners did a bit of tourism, with Nicky P reaching Barry Island parkrun in south Wales and was first in her age category.
Nearer to home, Julie S made her debut at Sheffield Castle, and just down the road in Nottingham, Martin S debuted at Beeston. Also in Nottingham, Sam B and Tomas H made their first visits to Rushcliffe with Sam also landing a top twenty finish.
Finally Brendan D and Maria G visited for the first time Beacon Hill Country Park parkrun, along with Robert L who was returning to grab himself a course PB.
