Week 38
The arrival of the autumn this morning with the equinox being at 7.50am brought an amazingly fantastic sunny day with clear blue skies, and very little breeze. Our parkrunners certainly celebrated with 12 different courses being ran across the country.
Furthest travelled this week were Deanna S & Richard B up in Scotland at Ayr parkrun, visiting for the first time, and heading back down into England, our north-east member David Br made his first appearance at a place called Brotton on the coast near Middlesbrough, for Marshall Drive parkrun where only 25 runners turned up!
Nicky P made it to Hyde parkrun near Manchester and just to the east in Glossop, Martin S ran. Just to the south of Manchester, Brendan D and Christopher M made it to Lyme Park parkrun, with Chris 1st in his age category.
Around the midlands, in Uttoxeter, Alyson W & Samuel B were first timers to Bramsall Road parkrun, with Sam finishing in 3rd place winning his age category! Julie M debuted at Beacon Hill Country Park parkrun, and at Conkers, Conor O was 1st in his age category.
Down in Corby new member Olivia P got herself an excellent PB, and down in the Big Smoke Dan W ran at Highbury Fields parkrun.
Finally back in Derby in Alvaston Mark G helped out with a spot of marshalling - thanks Mark! - and there were course PBs for Connah B, Dara P and Lucy B who was also 1st in her age category. At Markeaton, Sarah S grabbed a course PB and Graham Y was 1st in his age category.
Well done to all at Sinfin today!
