Week 51
After what was a ridiculously windy few days caused by Storm Pia, everyone was pleased that it had dropped to just a reasonable breeze and an impressive 39 Sinfin members headed out to 8 different parkrun courses, 5 of which volunteered.
At Alvaston 19 members made an appearance with Michael T in charge as Run Director with a decidedly dodgy microphone and speaker. Lucy T also helped out processing the results, and Connah B was a timekeeper. Thank you folks! Running-wise Lisa D got herself a course PB, and Danielle S was first in her age category.
Hitting Gedling parkrun in Nottingham for the first time, were Brendan D and Martin S, accompanied by Kevin P, with Brendan completing his 200th parkrun and 50th different course. Good passion for the cause there Brendan!
On the road, and furthest travelled today was Olivia P making an appearance at Moors Valley parkrun in the New Forest "down South". Up at Warrington parkrun, Deanna S and Richard B made their debuts and Nicky P made her first visit to Gloucester North parkrun.
All debuting at Market Bosworth parkrun were Alyson W, Dan W, Samuel B, and Tomas H, with Dan and Sam finishing 9th and 10th respectively. Susan W helped out with a spot of barcode scanning.
Finally on the volunteering front Jane W helped out at Battlestead Croft parkrun in Burton.
Another excellent day of parkrunning, just two more to go in 2023, with the next being the Christmas Day special! Merry Christmas everyone 🎄💚💜🎅🏼
