Week 29
It was a largely soggy, grey mid-July morning, but our members were determined to get to their parkruns in covering 11 different courses across England and Wales.
There were a few miles involved today with Julie M at the Old Railway Trail in Llangollen in Wales, Nicky P heading northwards to make her first visit to Preston parkrun, and southwards on the M6 at Northwich was Dan W who also made his debut finishing 1st in his age category.
Continuing down the long motorway south of Bristol at Clevedon Salthouse Fields parkrun were Conor O & Daisy M with Conor finishing 1st in his age category and Daisy doing a spot of barcode scanning! North of London, Brendan D was at Jersey Farm parkrun and our northeast representative David Br, made his debut at Town Moor parkrun in Newcastle.
More locally, Alyson W, Samuel B & Tomas H were at Kingsbury Water parkrun with Alyson and Samuel both recording excellent course PBs - Sam finishing in a fab 4th place also! - and Tomas making his debut. Up at Brierley parkrun Dawn O and Gemma M made their debuts.
Back in Derby, in Long Eaton Barry B was first in his age category and at Markeaton Kevin P grabbed another course PB and was first in his age category in 9th place, with Ciaran M just behind in 12th.
Finally at Alvaston where a smaller crowd of only 10 gathered, Sue W helped out with the barcode scanning, and Adam G grabbed a course PB.
