Week 20
It was a fabulous sunny morning for parkrun earlier, with a slight cool breeze to help out the runners. At Alvaston where twenty of our club members ran, Connah B got himself a course PB, as did Jacob G and Matthew S, who finished 3rd and 4th respectively, both in blistering sub-18 times! A large number also were first in their age categories also, namely, Danielle S, David L, Fiona F, Jacob G, Matthew S, and Samuel S, who also was in the top 10 in 8th spot! Fab running all.
There were a couple of local road-trips made also, with Martin S, Nicky P, Sarah R and Simon B making the trip to Beacon Hill Country Park for the first time, and down at Dishley parkrun in Loughborough, Thomas S accompanied Kieran M and Catherine W who was the first lady back finishing in 9th spot, and Kieran first in his age category. Cracking stuff!
Also locally, Dan W scored a course PB at Rosliston and at Shipley Country parkrun Kevin P also got himself a PB on the course.
Lending a helping hand today were Deanna S and Richard B at Markeaton, Richard volunteering for the 25th time therefore qualifying for his purple t-shirt, and Brian W assisted in clearing up at Alvaston parkrun. Thanks guys!
