Week 26
It was a cooler start to parkrun this morning as we enter July, but much needed after some very humid days earlier in the week.
At Alvaston both Kevin P and Chris B collected course PBs, and they were also in the top 20 with excellent times. Kevin, Nicky P and Sharon C were all first in their age categories.
Near to home Kieran M and Thomas S were both first timers to Conkers, and at Dishley, Loughborough, Martin S and Sarah R grabbed excellent course PBs.
Brian W and Robert L made it two consecutive weeks to Market Bosworth parkrun, this week accompanied by debutants David L and Maria G. Both Robert and Brian were rewarded with course PBs, David L got a top ten spot and Maria G was first in her age category.
Our north-east representative David B, checked out Albert parkrun in Middlesbrough for his debut there, and then further afield, Simon B was in Lake District at Fell Foot parkrun once again but... furthest travelled this week was Joe R over in Mainz in Germany for Maaraue parkrun where he took a top ten spot in a field of just 64!
Thanks this week go to Fiona F and Julie M marshalling at Markeaton, and at Alvaston to Dan W, Sheila G, and Steve W barcode scanning, and to Sam B who had also checked the course before his run there.
