So the final Saturday of the summer was a cool day, but perfect for parkrun running.... and volunteering! At Alvaston, six of our Sinfin members helped out with Michael T putting on the blue vest as today's run director! Brendan D, Deanna S, Kathleen F, Lucy T, and Richard B also helped out. Thanks everyone, as we all know parkrun relies on its volunteers for the event to go ahead, so if you've not yet given it a go, why not try it, it's great fun!
Running at Alvaston, there were four course PBs for Chris B, Connah B, Dara P and Lauren G! Brilliant work!
There was a plethora of tourism this week and at Beacon Hill Country Park Pascal S made his debut with Sarah S grabbing a course PB and 1st in her age category. Also nearby Fiona F made her first vist to Market Bosworth Country Park, and Robert L debuted at Hastings High School in Hinkley, as did David L at Isabel Trail in Stafford.
A couple of larger journies were made by Dawn O who made a first visit to Holyrood parkrun in Edinburgh, and just shaving it by circa 50 miles, Julie M was all the way down at Land's End! Conor O was at Woodhouse Moor in Leeds.
In Nottingham, at Rushcliffe parkrun, Sam B and Alyson W both collected course PBs, with Sam taking 5th spot, and at Wollaton Hall parkrun, Martin S and Tony A were first timers and Nicky P grabbed a course PB!
Up in the north-east member David Br debuted at Gateshead, and finally back home at Long Eaton, new member Olivia P scored an excellent course PB, and Barry B was 1st in his age category.
