Week 41
In glorious sunshine on this fine mid-October morning, 31 members turned out for parkrun, of which 8 volunteered, and 23 ran. The temperature had dipped a tad but it made for excellent running conditions with little breeze.
At Alvaston where there was the largest contingent of members, six volunteered, namely Connah B, Dan W, Dawn O, Deanna S, Richard B, and Susan W. On the running front Samuel B finished a cracking 6th place in a ludicrous 18.21, and Daisy M was 1st in her age category getting herself a course PB along with Kieran M and Lauren G.
Over at Markeaton Julie M & Kevin P volunteered and running-wise Graham Y was 1st in his age category.
Hitting the road this week there were first time visits for Pascal S & Sarah S at Babbs Mill parkrun on the outskirts of Birmingham (also both 1st in their age categories), Ciaran M was at Chasewater parkrun also grabbing 1st in his age category and Martin S was furthest travelled at Heslington parkrun in York.
Finally our north-east correspondant David Br went to see his mate Stewart in Middlesbrough for the first time....Stewart parkrun that is!
