Week 19
It was a lovely fresh morning earlier and our club parkrunners were pretty much all at local parkruns. The only exception to this was Tony A who was all the way down in Devon at Barnstaple parkrun finishing in a cracking 6th place! Well done Tony!
Locally in Derby, Alvaston fired up its usual large crowd of club members. Sam B finished a fabulous 6th place in a cracking 18.40, and Conor O was first in his age category, as was Danielle S, Maria G and Leanne S who was celebrating her birthday, sporting a rather fancy "Birthday Girl" ribbon. This was followed up at the end with some tasty cake nibbles and a round of "Happy Birthday" from the rest of the Sinfin bunch! Allegedly this footage is available on video, but it has yet to make an appearance... Martin S got himself a glorious course PB too. Helping out today for some volunteering were Brendan D, David L, Richard B, and Sam S - as ever, many thanks guys!
At nearby Markeaton, Graham Y was first in his age category, as was Jacob G who also got himself a course PB of 18.05, finishing just outside the podium places in 4th.
Over in Long Eaton, Chris M was first in his age category and at Shipley Country parkrun, Dan W finished in 6th place, getting himself a course PB and first in his age category.
Finally, our northern representative David B, made his first visit to Herrington parkrun near Sunderland.
