Week 32
After a couple of hotter days with no rain, there was optimism that the weather for parkrun could remain half decent... and so it did. A nice pleasant morning with a slight breeze, saw over 30 Sinfin members take to the parks.
The result of the day went to Samuel B on his first visit to Newark parkrun, coming 1st in an excellent sub-19 time! Congratulations Sam! He was accompanied by Danielle S, Edward S and Tomas H, also making their first visits with Danielle coming in as 1st lady! Well done Danielle!
There were first time visits for Robert L at Abbey Park in Leicester, Nicky P at Melton Mowbray parkrun, Brendan D at Yarborough Leisure Centre parkrun in Lincoln, and for Fiona F who was the furthest travelled today at Sheringham parkrun in Norfolk.
A posse of Sinfin members headed to nearby Rosliston parkrun, with Dawn O, Gemma M, and Julie M making their first visits, and Kevin P returned for a course PB and 1st in his age category finishing in a respectable 7th place.
At Conkers, Chris B and Connah B made their debuts, and at Uttoxeter at Bramshall Road, Duncan C and Jane W made the journey with Duncan finishing 1st in his age category and 2nd overall! Well done Duncan! Continuing up the A50 over in Stoke , Dan W grabbed himself a course PB at Trentham Gardens parkrun.
Finally, back home in Alvaston, Brian W helped out in the car park before running, and Conor O got himself a course PB and 9th place. Sharon C was 1st in her age category.
