A cloudy day with a little rain in the air didn’t deter our Sinfin parkrunners today, who turned up in their numbers at Alvaston where six of our runners grabbed fabulous course PBs.
Leading the charge for Sinfin was Matthew S, new to the club this week and getting a cracking 18.08 finishing in 6th place, astonishingly still 4th in his age category... but he was chasing elite athletes Richard Weir and Alex Pilcher in the same age category!
Behind him Danielle S who was running with Sam B blitzed to just over 20 minutes shaving over a minute off her previous best! Amy P, Lorna C, and Sharon C also steamed home in a record time on the course – fab work ladies – and That Man Mr Richard S remembered his barcode finally and fired himself also to his best on the course!
On the road but fairly locally this week, Dan W nipped across to Nottingham at Colwick parkrun and Ciaran M debuted at Conkers managing a glorious 6th place!
Travelling up north Nicky P managed first in her age category at Chester parkrun and down in the Big Smoke, Maria G visited Valentines parkrun.
