The sun wasn't shining today, in fact it was rather dreary and damp, but fortunately it was warm and the rain held off for our Sinfin parkrunners to do some shining!
A fairly large crowd of club members made it to Alvaston despite the gloomy weather, and David L and Simon B provided a dose of volunteering to help out (thanks chaps!). Our ladies had a stormer with a Sinfin 1-2-3 by Catherine W, Danielle S, and Nicky P, all first in their age categories, as were Fiona F and Sam B who ran to a cracking 7th place!
Nearby at Long Eaton Barry B was first in his age category and Chris S landed an excellent course PB.
On the road today and performance of the day was Kevin P who grabbed an excellent 2nd place and PB at Cannock Chase! Great running Kevin! Andy and Julie S nipped to Brierley Forest, and Dan W and Brendan D debuted at Forest Rec with Brendan winning his age category. Furthest travelled (within the UK anyway), was James S at Holkham parkrun in north Norfolk managing 10th place and first in his age category.
But furthest travelled still was Alyson W, at Haga Parkrun in Stockholm, Sweden, and she'll surely be pleased taking a cheeky 3rd age category position - perhaps she'll be dancing to some Abba later? 😂
