A beautiful autumn morning greeted our parkrunners earlier on, with no fewer than a staggering 26 club members at Alvaston! Four of those, namely Brendan D, Brian W, Samuel B and Simon B helped out with some of the volunteering roles - many thanks guys. Brian also managed to get to run after marshalling the car park!
Six of our runners managed first in their age categories at Alvaston: Danielle S, Fiona F, Karen K, Sharon C, Kevin P and Tony A, who managed a glorious sub-20 on his first run on the course. There were also brilliant PBs for Roland and Sarah S. Great stuff! The winner at Alvaston today was no other than local athlete Richard Weir who's won the Derby 10k a few times!
On the road this week, Richard M was at Uttoxeter making his debut there, as was Stephen B at Cannock Chase parkrun. Dan W headed to Sewerby in Yorkshire winning his age category, and furthest travelled today were Andy and Julie S over at Nova Prestatyn parkrun in North Wales.
