Well it's certainly got a lot cooler this week just in time for the energy price hike(!), but today the temperature did rally a little ready for parkrun, making it a lovely morning for running.
At Alvaston yet another bumper crowd of Sinfin members turned up (25), with Chris M, Ray E and Simon B all helping out with a spot of marshalling and encouragement - thanks gents! And on the running side, there were several notable performances amongst the many. Brother David and Jacob G were 5th and 6th with ridiculously good sub-18 and sub-19 minute times respectively. Amy P, Pat B and Leanne S all grabbed cracking new course PBs, and Danielle S and Sam B were both first in their age categories with the latter also in the top 10. So well done folks!
Just down the road at Dishley, Loughborough, Sarah S continued her fine run of form getting a course PB and even further southbound in central London, David L was amongst a rather fast field of runners at Victoria Dock, ahead of tomorrow's London Marathon.
Furthest travelled today however were Andy and Julie S, in "The Dam", doing Amsterdamse Bos parkrun both grabbing top 3 age category positions!
