A lovely fresh dry autumn morning greeted our parkrunners earlier, after an awful week of rain. No fewer than 34 members ran across 8 different parkruns, and 4 volunteered - Brian W, Julie H, Ray W, and Simon B helping out at Alvaston- many thanks guys!
At Alvaston where there were 18 of our runners, Amy P, Patrick B and Lois C all got course PBs, with Lois also getting in as first lady! Chelsea W and Jason B were also first in their age categories.
At Markeaton where our friends at Mickleover Running Club were doing a parkrun takeover, Duncan C managed a top twenty and George K was first in his age category.
Locally on the road, Caroline S made her first visit to Ashbourne parkrun coming in the top twenty and first in her age category, Dan W debuted at Dishley in Loughborough and Sharon C, Alyson W, Fiona F and Julie M debuted at Rushcliffe parkrun.
Making trips overseas for their parkruns this week, were Andy & Julie S in Poland and Brendan D in Ireland. Andy & Julie were at parkrun Zielony Jar with probably the smallest crowd we've seen recently with only 37 runners! Both were first in their age categories and Andy grabbed a top twenty placing. Brendan was at Letterkenny parkrun in the north of Ireland with only 64 runners, taking 8th spot!
