Charity Cheque Presentation to The Air Ambulance

At our last Wednesday night Club meet we had the pleasure of presenting a cheque to John Brown who is one of the local volunteers for the Air Ambulance.

The Air Ambulance provide a superb service and could be something that you may have personally experienced or could be something you may need in the future. As a running club we feel this is the type of invaluable service that we need to support and keep running so that it can continue to save lives.

This donation is part of the proceeds from our 2020 Sinfin Classic race that we had to cancel due to the pandemic - subsequent efforts to put the race on in 2020 and 2021 also fell through. Those that had entered our race may remember that we contacted them and offered an option of the donation of entry fees to our suggested charities. A number of entrants kindly took up this option and, as promised, we have now made the first of our donations. We will be posting a further report once our remaining donation is made.
